We Care About How Our Teak Is Forested We use teak from very mature trees, which means that the teak is infused with natural teak oil, providing the oil with oils that will ensure that it lasts for years to come.  This high quality teak means that our garden furniture is built to last and will probably last for 70 years, although we are only able to quote 50 years, because TRADA, (Timber Research and Development Agency) the Government agency that controls guarantees and warranties, stipulate that we can only give assurances that our furniture will last for 50 years.

By using mature trees we also ensure that the environment does not unduly suffer.  The cutting down of immature trees cuts short the natural life cycle of the tree.  Through using only older, more mature trees we can ensure that the natural life cycle of the teak forests is observed.

All trees that are felled are replaced, to ensure that as time goes on, there will be a sufficient number of trees to guarantee supply.

Why Use Teak? Teak is an extremely durable wood to use for making garden furniture.  Although we often think of a wood like oak being durable and long lasting, the reality is that teak is more stable than oak.  Oak moves as it ages, whereas teak remains stable, this ensures that teak will last a long, long time.

In fact TRADA have awarded teak a rating of ‘very durable’, which is the highest durability rating a wood can get.  So if you buy a quality teak garden furniture item from us, you can rest assured that it really will last!

Attention To Detail We use the best quality teak that the world has to offer, but even then, we make sure that we create our furniture using wood that is much thicker than standard.  This enhances the durability of our furniture and ensures that slats will not simply wither and snap if they have pressure exerted on them, instead, they will withstand the most rigorous wear and tear!

We use the best quality screw so that they will stay in place for an exceptionally long time and because we use thicker wood for our furniture, we are able to use longer screws, thus further enhancing both the strength and durability of all our garden furniture.

We also pellet all our screws, so not only are they not visible, but they do not pose any risk from people catching a sleeve or item of clothing on them.

Great Availability The majority of our furniture can be dispatched within 48 hours of an order being received.  Some items may take slightly longer, such as an 8 foot Oxford Bench or some of our planters etc will take a little longer, but we can usually guarantee delivery within 4 weeks of an order being placed, with the majority being dispatched within 48 hours.

Memorial and Commemorative Benches
We are proud to be able to offer benches specifically designed to have an engraving or plaque installed on them.  These make particularly good memorial or commemorative benches.  Engravings or plaques can usually be arranged within 7 days, so they are readily accessible for people who do not want to wait.
