We are, quite rightly, very proud of our Memorial Bench.  It is an absolutely stunning design, that is quite simply, beautiful to look at.  We took time to design the Memorial Bench because we felt that  bench that would act as a memorial or remembrance bench had to be ‘just right’.  We didn’t feel it was right to offer a ‘standard’ bench as a Memorial Bench, so we tooka  long time to create one that is just perfect for the purpose.

We strove to create a bench that was timelessly elegant and would not date over time.  But we also wanted a bench that was beautifully created with a strong, robust air, complemented by curves and soft scrolls and we think we got it just about right- our customers seem to think so!

The Memorial Bench has a slightly curved back to introduce a fluidity to the design, the curves soften the angles of the bench, so although the arms/sides of the bench and the seat are quite solid, offering a feeling of permanence, the curve in the back, soften the overall effect.  This achieves a look that indicates both durability and softness, which seems fitting for a memorial bench.

The arms gently scroll outwards.  In a sense it is as if the bench is opening its arms to the world and the effect is to enhance the softness of the design.  But even the teak we use is string, thick and again offers a sense of strength and permanence.

Customers who have bought this bench want something that will last for a very long time and will continue to look stylish for as long as it is in situ.  We take care to craft this bench using not just the finest teak and the best British workmanship, but we also make the Memorial Bench with the most fitting of designs, so that it really does provide a very appropriate bench to remember a loved one, or a special occasion.

Engravings or plaques can be added to the back of the bench, but these mean that it will take a little longer to deliver.
